FINISHES-foil and stock experimenting

i have experimented with different foil finishes on different stocks. i have used holographic foil and pewter foil which is a mixture of gold and silver. i found that the pewter foil worked best on the purple stock which was flat stock and didn't have texture to it. the colour pewter also worked well with the purple.




i found that stocks with a textured finish didn't work very well with the heat press, when foil blocking, this effected my mock up finishes, however this wouldn't be a problem if i was to get my designs professionally foil blocked.
i thought the holographic foil would work well with a wintry coloured stock, however it proved to have too much impact and with it being holographic the colour range was too contrasting for the design.
