A5 CARDS- varnish/embossing and foiling

I have tried some variations which combine the use of foiling with the spot varnishing. i have experimented with this so i can add more impact to the cards, however the use of foiling and varnishing contrast too much. as foiling is very loud and will draw attention straight away, the varnishing is made to look too subtle when used next to foiling. this makes the design look like its not been considered.
